What is a segment?

Segment is a feature that helps you and your company to group your data. When you get started with Trustcruit and get access to our dashboard, all data is gathered in one place that is usually named "All data". Depending on what your organization looks like, it can be sufficient to have all data in one place and create reports to filter the data, for example if you are a smaller organization.

For most, however, it is better to create segments to group your data. A segment consists of a certain group of data where you choose what to include. It is common to have segments based on office, departments or responsible recruiter.

By creating segments, you can easily see the data for one specific group. You can also use segments to limit access, since it is possible to give access to only one or several segments.

You can see which segment you are viewing, as well as changing segment, in the top left corner of the dashboard:

If you are an account user (read more about our user types here) you can see all the segments of your organization, and this is an example of what that might look like:

How do you create a segment?

Segments are created by clicking the gear symbol in the low left corner -> Segments. Read more about how to create segments here.

If you need help with creating a segment structure for your organization, or want help with creating a segment, reach out to your contact person at Trustcruit or contact us through our support email, [email protected].
