How to enable the integration between Alva & Jobylon

This article will guide Alvatars and Jobylonians through how to enable the new integration for a customer.

Note that this workflow is temporary until Jobylon develops a self-service feature that allows customers to enable the integration themselves.

The second note is that this article only covers scenarios where the customer is a new Alva customer, as we Jobylon are responsible for transferring all current integration settings from the old integration to the new integration.

  • To begin with, all communication about enabling the integration should take place in our joint channel, #alva-jobylon, regardless of whether the integration is initiated by Alva or Jobylon. Before proceeding with the steps below, reach out to identify the responsible person from either Alva or Jobylon. The integration setup will always start from Jobylon’s side. Please see the steps below

Steps to enable the integration for Jobylonians

  1. Head over to admin and go to integrations/integration/

  2. Click "Add new integration"

  3. Set the company ID of the company you wish to enable the integration for

  4. Select vendor, e.g. Alva personality & logic test, Alva Coding, Alva Interviews and Alva Role Fit

    One integration is created for each product, meaning that if the customer will be using all three of them - 3 integrations should be created (if nothing else have been stated from the customer, enable all three of them including Alva Role Fit)

    * Alva’s Role Fit is a combined score that shows how well a candidate matches a specific role based on their assessment results. It brings together scores from different assessments—such as logic, personality, interviews, and coding tests—to provide a clear, overall indication of suitability for the job.

    How to activate Role Fit

    1. Enable the integration
      First, we need to enable the Role Fit integration for your account. This is the same process we use for other integrations.

    2. Check "Auto enabled"
      Make sure to select the “Auto enabled” option. This setting automatically activates the integration for each job — without showing the Role Fit icon in the jobs overview (to avoid confusion, as it's not a typical integration).

    3. Add Role Fit to your pipeline
      In the customer’s account, go to:
      Pipeline Actions > Partner Integrations, then add Alva Role Fit to the first step of the hiring process.

    4. Use a job template
      Once set up, Role Fit will automatically appear for each new candidate in the job. To save time, we recommend adding Role Fit to a job template, so you don’t have to do this manually each time.


  5. Let's continue to how to activate personality, logic and interviews. Check "Is active"

  6. The Company ID (displayed as External ID in jane)is the ID Alva needs to finalize the integration on their end. Send it over to the responsible CSM on Alva's end so they can complete the integration. One external ID is created for each product, meaning that you will send over 3 external IDs if all of the 3 products have been created. See example below:

Steps to enable the integration for Alvatars

  1. Once you receive the above 4 IDs (Company ID, and 3 long IDs for different tests), find out what the Alva Organization ID is (e.g 00000000-0000-0000-0000-00007dbcce97)

  2. Head over to the slack channel #squad-t-rex and create a technical "ask" to "create a new Jobylon integration for company XYZ".

    Provide the above 4 parameters and the engineering team will do the configuration for you.

  3. Inform your contact person at Jobylon that the integration now has been enabled.
